I simply think we don't get hit that often.  But when we do we want to be protected.

Agreed . I take more shots to the arms and fat muscle than anywhere else.

I think I'm getting hit for everybody else then. I've worked two plates this season so far and have been hit 4 times. I have full faith in the collar bone protection of my System 7 though! I could see picking up the unequal to wear for a cooler alternative for those dog days of summer.

You are correct about the molding to the body. I adjusted the strap on the clip a half inch today and didn't have to make a single adjustment all day. And, wait for it, keep waiting, ready? I wore it in my college game this morning and didn't come close to being hit, Wish they had insect repellent that worked half as well. May the Force be with you.

So I watched a game today and left my Force 3 in the car. The home plate umpire did not get hit. Incredible.

Had a plate in a JC game and almost got hit. The ball disintegrated in front of the plate. Wish they had their shin guards available as I got hit right on the damn shin and it hurt a lot. Crocodile tears baby.

If these CPs are really ball repellents I could use one for tonight. Im heading to a HS game tonight where never, no tone time, have I had a catcher who even tried, and unfortunately I have the dish.

I think to gather real data, we'd need a thread w/ the brand of CP, and we document a hit each time.  Then we'd be able to measure

Up here kids don't want to play baseball anymore, so the catchers are non-existent.

Did cage work between two college D3 teams; one used a catcher that had never, ever caught before. My partner doing the dish that inning took three brutal shots...the HC came running over to apologize, but that's all he had.

I work my HS Games in VA where I work but yes. It's not very wide spread just this is a game between 2 schools which have fantastic football & basketball teams but horrible baseball teams. You would think with the amount of raw athletic talent they have on the other teams they could field a pretty good baseball team, but that is not the situation.

Oh yeah, Jeff.   You are so right. That would be so much REALER than those fake- batting cage shots that I took. Everybody knows fouls speed up off of the bat.
