I worked a three-man intrasquad today. One partner is a guy who I talked into retro-fitting his Gold with a Team Wendy pad. Three years ago, he introduced our group to team Wendy mask pads, and he was appropriately thrilled when I told him that they were doing CPs and shins now. 

 

So then, he started talking other guys into doing theirs, and our other partner from today just got his Platinum done. So I saw a Gold and a Platinum in the locker room just today.

I just got my gold back today from Team Wendy!  I am extremely impressed on how low profile it is now.  It may be a slight bit heavier, but it's pretty close to the original weight.  Also, it really seems to conform to my chest.  I am really excited to get on the field with this thing.

Oh yeah, and it was a total of 15 days from when they received it, to when it was delivered back to me.

I sent them my CP on the 17th, they received it on the 21st, spoke with Sheilah on the 22nd. She gave me the 17th as an approximate date... Here's hoping I get an early surprise. 15 days sounds awesome!

She originally told me February 14 as the completion date, and then it would be shipped.  It was finished and shipped on January 27th, and I got it today.  It won't be long 97.

OK, had my WV refit last year, and while I've had the usual glancing upper body shots nothing that has been a real test of the TW pads; I was still unconvinced since it wasn't the Wilson "pillow" padding.

Had a bad catcher last night in a semi-pro game, took a foul *** from the bat straight to the plate below the WV plate. I was really surprised, got the old WV thud, but "I didn't feel a thing". Count me sold again.

I took a shot in a college wood bat league to the left pec on an inside foul tip. You can definitely feel it but no bruising.

Did it get a plastic plate or straight TW? I've had shots to bear TW and I agree with you.
