Got my WV Gold retrofit back from TW yesterday

The TW padding on my WV Gold, reminds me of my Riddell Power. Retrofitted WV Gold is really low profile like the Power, but much more protection than the Power. Can't wait to wear the retrofitted WV Gold in action.

I also bought the Delta Flex from UA, but am trying to decide whether to put it on my newly retrofitted WV Gold now, or wait until after I have worn the retrofit with the original harness.

Any thoughts from those of have the retrofitted WV Gold about whether you prefer the original harness to the Delta Flex?

When I put the delta flex on my power I removed the plastic clips on the top straps and sewed the straps in place. I'll take a pic when I get home...

This is a little off topic but will the TWs fit a low profile Wilson Ti mask? My doeskins are awful stiff and cold in below 55 weather. Thanks.

Pictures of WV Gold with TW retrofit are attached. Original padding to the right of the retrofit.

Much less bulky than original pads.

Chest Protector is no heavier than original and fits much more snugly with the Delta Flex harness. :rolleyes:

You know what I noticed with these pics? The main chest plate on a Gold is NARROW!

Could this be hazardous?? Or would the TW padding take care of any balls that hit in that spot?

Yes there is a gap but no it's not hazardous. I actually removed them all together because from mine since the team wendy under pad will protect in that area due to the extra material. The riddell power does not have these pads and utilize the under padding for protection.

Do you think that they will start selling the padding for the WV directly without having to send in the original since it appears they have done quite a few now????

I like the Gold retrofit, I am concerned about the padding and the fit around the center chest plate.  Not necessarily the protection, but the fit.  I would like to try one before committing the money.

I don't know why they can't do the P210, ... the older one, it's the same design (for all intents and purposes) as the Power
