wolfe_man Posted March 1 Report Posted March 1 I'm told it's a sickness... and I may have a problem. Top Row (L t R): Nike Ti, Adidas, Adidas Middle Row (L to R): AS Steel, Belgard, Adidas Bottom (L to R): One of a kind Cro-moly (1 of 5 I'm told), Honig's I do HS in the Spring, hence the navy frames... and the rest are for Summer ball when I can have more fun! The bottom two will probably be my loaners when a partner forgets (or breaks) their frame. 3 Quote

I'm sure you can stop any time you want, right? 🤣 I'd like to discuss further the mask on the left in the middle row. Did you paint the sun visor with matte black? I like that look! 1 Quote

The whole thing is spray-painted flat black and then clear-coated. I've learned that if you follow instructions and let the paint cure, then put on a clear coat that it holds up very well. I haven't had any issues with them staying coated all year long, or even longer. The black middle (top) is also painted. As is the navy Adidas. If you can't buy it (or afford it), then create it I say! 3 Quote

amb1995 Posted April 27 Report Posted April 27 Just out of curiosity...where does everyone get their replacement straps with the snap closures for their slugger and samurai throat guards? Mine are starting to rust out a little bit and I've been thinking about sending it into Tony to get it recoated with my Mizuno mask but would have to cut them off I think since they are sewn on. Or....does everyone just have that many of them? lol Quote
boyinr Posted April 27 Report Posted April 27 Picked up a Force 3 from Gerry Davis during the current sale. Added a 6” Wilson TG and taped the harness. Ready to roll it out next week. 2 Quote

But I could be wrong. @Razzerwas the originator of this idea since the original screw/nut combo could twist and cause the tg to shatter. 1 Quote

I actually just got a set of 10 of them to get this one done, I assume it will work just as well for the spyder too! I can probably pretty easily get some 3/4 nylon to make some straps Quote

Open up your wife’s health & beauty cabinet / case / closet, and you can easily find multiples of something that looks obscure or complex, that, when asked, are explained away as, “Well, this is for these days, and this effect, while this is for these other days, and this effect… “ Heck, if you really want to hit slightly below the belt, and she’s giving you grief for having 14 different masks, then respond with a questioning as to why she has 14 different bras, or 25 different pairs of shoes. “They all do the same thing, don’t they?” 1 Quote

For one, my wife doesn’t buy a ton of makeup. But for two she’s never once questioned a gear purchase. Everytime the topic comes up/a box arrives she’s just says, “I want you to be as safe as possible while you’re out there.” I’m more valuable to her and our kids if I’m alive… 😂 come to think of it though I don’t think she knows how much I spent on my Riddell… 🫣 2 Quote
