Mask Porn?

Did the black not wear well, or you just wanted the different color? I'm strongly considering getting the black, but don't want to have to powdercoat it after a year.  (Plus I'm dreaming of All-Star making a Deflexion-based mask - I really wanted to go with their new HSM, but decided to stick with masks, but I love their Deflexion tech.)

Champro Rampage, TW pads, Champro visor and Mizuno TG, Painted Toyota Voodoo Blue. 

Picked the mask up on Black Friday and finally got around to getting it ready for the season. Thanks for the color inspiration Max.

I paint cars for work so I painted it while I was painting a Tundra that color.

I gave away a mask last week to someone in need. That left me with pads, harness and a TG with out a home.  @Stk004was  kind enough to help me out of my jam by selling me a sweet Wilson low profile TI.  Seeing its first action today.

Guys! Guys, guys, guyyyyyyyys! 

You will hopefully be seeing more and more stuff out with the brand name "Tucci" on it. Unfortunately, my beloved company Schutt had to declare bankruptcy. Out of this, they were purchased by halo company Certor, alongside VICIS, putting two of the four football helmet producers under the same banner. Certor is streamlining Schutt, and having them focus on football (only, it looks like), but that hopefully means Tucci takes up the catalog that Schutt had, including some really good baseball, softball, and umpire gear. 

What's very encouraging is that they've released this new mask – 

Huh! That looks like... in fact, it is! It's a Champro Rampage magnesium. Now, either Certor/Tucci brokered a deal with Champro to use the Rampage, or they contracted the same Chinese producer for that mask. It does come withdecent harness, and the paint job is gloss outer surfaces and matte inner surfaces, ala Rawlings on their titanium mask. The pads are a bit of a let down, though; not as bad as Diamond stock pads, but nothing substantial enough to warrant use on a super flyweight mask like this one. 

So! You know what pads go (near) perfect in this mask frame? Yup, you got it – 

This thing is now exceptional. 

Be on the lookout for Tucci products. If you find them, note them. If you run across a Tucci rep or dealer, talk with them. Encourage them to continue Schutt's path in baseball.

That's too bad to hear about Schutt ... I know they had a facility nearby (Litchfield, IL), but I was never quite sure what it was (production, product specific, offices, etc.).

Finally, some updates for me!

Thanks @blue32for the carbon fiber dip - added black mag pads and a spyder TG.

Other two are gunmetal (Mask-It Sports) with black mag pads and shovel (Samurai Gears) and another with navy mag pads and custom AS steel TG.

Because of how the WindPact CrashCloud pads function, as miniature airbags that deflate and re-inflate near-instantly, they function best if they stay anchored, orientated in the same vector as the impacting energy. There were studies done about this. 

So, to keep the pads as still as possible and oriented in the frame “properly”, they do have mapped reliefs that match up to the bars – UnderArmour frame to the UA -marked pads, and EvoShield Pro-SRZ frame to EvoShield -marked pads. 

I favor the tabs on the EvoShield pads better, but the frame is downright hideous.

So a while ago some guy here cried Wolfe and said he was retiring ..  Sold a butt load of nice gear.. I was fortunate enough to jump on one thing I had my eye on when he posted it.  I replaced the nike harness with an AS one as the nike wont fit over my AS Skully /shrug. I also replaced the TW pads that were on it which were black but still on a 70 degree day they felt like bricks so I had a fresh pair of black TW's I had never installed and as I was dropping them out the bag, Out dropped the grey AS Mag pads that came with my silver AS 4kMag chrome mask I got and then took them off for black pads. 

Hmm I thought..

So @wolfe_man do you recognize this mask I cannot recall the brand type it was but I liked it last night 1st time wearing it in this set up.
