To be a contrarian here, I don't mind navy at all, blue's my favorite color. Just wish we would get an updated version of the shirt. Navy pads and the visor are slick together 😎

So it’s a black-&-black model, and it looks like a wireframe TG has been zip-tied to the backside of the XCG of the Rampage. 

And, in (seemingly) classic mask-&-Skuly fashion, these PUs are taking off the entire thing, Skuly and all. They must have the harnesses cranked tight.

Black cage w/ navy pads does not look out of place at all!  No, there's not a ton of contrast, but out of place, hardly.  I spent my entire 2018 season with (basically) the mask Scissors is showing ... a season that included the State Finals, so ... it looks just fine, thank you very much

1.  That my friend is a CUSTOM (que @MadMax in 3,...2,....1....) ........  custom sunshield made by me out of an old honigs, IIRC ....  long before the All Star version just released last year.  So yes, the ends are inside.

2.  Yes, they teach you that you 'shouldn't' be looking where you point, ...however, ...my timing is really slow and trust me, I make sure there's nothing going on before that happens     If you were to see the entire photo, the catcher is throwing the ball back when this call is being made

Oh, the navy and black looks… unique… sure. But if it’s acceptable for this, then why can’t we wear navy umpire shirts and black hats? 🤔

Look, before I open Pandora’s box 📦 on the whole navy-versus-black debate, I’ll give you my libertarian view on umpiring – we should be allowed to wear whatever we want, especially if whatever governing body is over us isn’t providing said items free of charge or fees. 
 

… but I’ll wear black before navy. 😎
