MIZUNO MIZUNO MIZUNO I cannot stress how much better they are, though they do have some stress points that damage more easily, I still recommend them. I'm a 13.5 extra wide, and I get the 15's with work great for me. Little bufferzone so I never feel a thing. I used to get the correct size and took a foul ball that left my right big toe with a bruised bone. So one size up is perfect either way.

the more athletic shoes are sort of from a bygone era (namely Reebok), I don't think that you will find athletic plate shoes that are worth their dollars anymore, 3-n-2 are very uncomfortable and were rips of the old seriously good pentagons, and the older new balance had a more work boot feel to them, like the 450's, which were pretty damned good, the reebok magistrates, well the tread soles would come off and the tread's nubs would rub down, the Reebok zigs were good, but much like the Mizunos, the plates damage too easily best of luck

As heavy as the dynalite steel Wilson mask is, I'd think it's solid steel... Also, Evo shieldakes a one piece as well
