Gotta hang in there, I mean, it was a “soft”ball impact.

Blessings unto his health.

Lol, that school is 20 minutes away from me.

Always wear your cup gents!

and buy a good one.  The cost difference is minimal and the performance difference is substantial.

No one has ever said "I wished I had spent less on my gear, I would have really liked to have felt that a little more"

Whether he was wearing one or not, that could have been a 'clapper'.

But to make this a learning post (other than to always wear a cup), if this was 3 man, who had the call at the plate?

Shock Dr jock and Shock Dr carbon flex cup has been utilized So many times I have lost count.

I bought them used them bought a 2nd set cause I liked them so much. As a good umpire has back up to all his gear, right?

Then I during purchase of my back up tried one of those compression shorts thing with the added pocket for a cup.  NOPE wore them one game and I was scared the whole game. Every time I would squat into position in the slot the cup would pull up and away from my body leaving me terribly exposed.  I still have the shorts but I wont ever use them for cup duty again.

I've newly switched to this https://www.diamondmma.com I liked the nutty buddy but could never get the right fit with jocks, compression shorts, etc.

This works so well I wear the jock w/ integrated cup holder and my base pants. No longer any compression shorts, second jock, or tights. Going to Force3 shins that fit great over bare skin helped. This was I'm as cool on hot days as possible.

My Nutty Buddy has been good to me.

I actually met the guy who founded Nutty Buddy, and called a few of his games (he moonlights as a coach for a club with teams in 18U and post-grad amateur).

Yeah...

... I made sure to purchase and use a Shock Doctor.

I am so guilty of this... When I really got smacked twice in one game I spent money on the best I could find recommendations for.
