Not my experience at all. Coaches are forever asking the count, even when I just gave it.

Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

Mike you got to do something about your fonts. They are tiny!

Rolando, leave Mike alone, his fonts are just fine. Go buy some stronger readers.

What's with giving the count after every pitch? :question1:

Nothing wrong with that. Remember, the LL coaches some times are dumb and need guidance.

I got some grief last year when I gave the count when it was 2-1 on ESPN. I reminded that person that Jim Evans used to give it on every pitch and there were no rules on when I could or could not give it.

I don't know why my fonts would be small, they show fine for me on both my phone and computer.

I think during international games giving the count to both sides takes away any issues with a language barrier.

I am an ODD one. :smachhead: I tend to give the count on odd numbers. 2-1, 1-2, 0-1, 3-2, etc., etc. But I will give it when asked

After the first pitch, giving the count on odd counts was what I learned, other than resets or steals or whatever. But how does turning your fingers sideways or backward help anyone. Does one dugout know the strikes and the other one know the balls?

I give counts when it matters, any count with 2 strikes or 3 balls. I used to give a 2-1 count but ffor some reason my brain made me ring a called third strike on the next pitch so I quit doing it.

That's weird because it doesn't do it when I view it, so I don't know how to fix it.

I forgot. They're volunteers!

No matter how often you give it someone will complain it's not the right way.

I didn't say it was "the wrong way". It's over kill!

Calling it overkill is commenting that it isn't right.

My dugout baby-sitter coach would do that. Not me or my chief assistant. Kinda the same with other teams. The baby-sitter gets too distracted and misses stuff.

Nope, I.m talking coaches in the box. I did a game Saturday with two coaches that I know have been at it at least 20 yrs. They would ask multiple times almost every batter. They tagged teamed, one then the other. While they were excessive, it's not outside the norm.

This is merely an observation and question for individual thought.

If you are moving ahead in a "straight line" and there is an "object" moving from right to left in front of you, wouldn't your instinct be to move to the right and behind it instead of left and in front of it?

?

Here's the video: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9595510

Watch from 1:43 to the end. Also the slow play.

I have INT here and I'm glad to see the umpire step up and call it. I'm a little surprised how long it took to kill the play, but with all the noise and everyone distracted it's understandable.

F6 isn't fielding a batted ball. R2's intent is to advance to third base, not to crash F6. It therefore is not interference, in my humble opinion.

The intent doesn't matter ultimately.

Why isn't this OBS?
