  1. Jaksa Roder specifically states " It is interference by a runner if such a runner intentionally hinders or distracts a fielder who is trying to field a fair or catchable batted ball. Case play - R1 2 outs, On a high bounding ball towards the second baseman R1 waves his arms as the ball passes overhead, or alters his course and runs directly at the second baseman, averting contact by inches: either instance shows intent to interfere, and is interference due to the intent.
  2. I think it should stop being referred to as the FPSR. The interp based on that name is you have to slide. I actually heard an umpire at a plate meeting state " You must slide to avoid contact" I spoke to him after and he wouldnt listen. they need to define a slide and then state when you slide it needs to be legal. Get rid of any and all ref's to FPSR.
  3. I;m too short to scissor. I guess it would have to do with your body type. I was a power lifter and still do lunges prio to the start of the season, so working the slot is easy for me.

  5. Judgement call. Next time make an attempt to get out of the way.
  6. Yep good one, its always our fault . Can't be his, as he's Joe Torre.
  7. Bullsh(*& and Horse(*& are the 2 biggest words in baseball and as long as they are directed towards the call - I dont see how you eject for it. At the 35+ level.
  8. Consider this your warning, dont post this question again. See rule 9.
  9. Its your fault, can't be his sons. They should make a rule that at all fields for all sports the parents sit in a building far away and watch the game on TV. He will one day learn a very hard lesson, like when one or both quit, dont talk to him and or move out of state the first chance they get.
  10. I had a player puke on the field, no biggie, just had to wait for the coaches to clean it up.
  11. Thats the rule, they should know it by the end of the season.
  12. HC gets the look.
  13. Hands are only part of the bat if you are born with a bat affixed to your hands and said bat is bone and flesh.
  14. Mam - when you take the responsibilty to be the official score keeper you must remain impartial - if you can't you shouldnt be the scorekeeper. If you continue you will be asked to leave. Unless of course she's hot and single, then she can say anything.

  16. OUT!!!! strikes and outs make the game go quicker. Seriously if he is doing anything that remotely resembles movement toward 1st base, im giving him the benefit of the doubt, in this instance, banging him out would have led to a ^$*& storm.
  17. Found this - not sure if it's the one being discussed. SODDY DAISY, TN. (WRCB) -- During the last week in April, six people were arrested in Soddy Daisy for disorderly conduct after a disagreement about the rules of a little league baseball game. Billy Petty, president of the Soddy Daisy Kids Club says, "Perception is reality. It didn't matter who was at fault. These people are adults and it is their responsibility to control their emotions." Police say there was plenty of arguing, but no punches were thrown. "Both people involved in the situation, this is not what they wanted. Other people got involved and it got out of hand," says Petty. We do know a young girl suffered a broken ankle after being trampled by someone running to the argument. Petty says this is not the example they try to set for young kids. "It is our goal to provide a safe place for kids in these sports and that is what we do and it may be common in other parts of the country but here it doesn't happen and it is unacceptable and we won't accept it." As competitive as games can be on the field, Petty says it can be worse in the stands. He says this is the first incident like this to happen since he's been president. He just hopes the groups can learn from their mistakes. "The kids get to see what happens when adults don't act how they should, and they see us punish them." Those involved were charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct
  18. Hey, ho, where’d you go, Ohio? UGH....
  19. Bitdefender Anit Virus plus, best on the market - I'm in the IT business for a Looooong time. Norton/Symantec 360 is #2. You need to keep it running, and have it install all the auto updates. If you turn it off you'll get infected.
  20. As soon as you couldnt walk off the field - you call the cops, and retreat.
  21. Get married - if you can deal with that for 15 years, you can umpire.
  22. I'd think about being at every game he ever has, take notes and then show him how horrible he was after the game.
