D62 blue Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 well I was able to buy a NIKE mask recently ( a very reasonable $$) from a retiring D1 along with a few other items . Yes those are nearly new , all star LUC pads that i had laying around on it . The pads the mask came with were not the NIKE labeled pads . The D1 was given the mask by a Coach , the harness is NIKE though . It has a # printed on the inside of the strap . Likely the player who used it . I wore it in a HS gm last weekend , nice field of vision a bit lighter than my diamond silver with team wendys . One comment/observation though , I have a large head (i wear a 73/4-7/8 cap ) , the Nike harness is barely large enough for my head . I have all 3 of the adjustments straps all the way to their ends , just barely in the buckles . see photos ! Marc I too have a NIKE Mask/Harness and wear the same size fitted hat as you and mine fits just fine with room to spare..... Is it possible that depending on the player that originally wore the mask , there are different size harnesses available from nike to the player ? Quote

Honigs with TW pads and Honigs harness, a WV mask with stock Wilson black pads, black visor and nike harness (use for colder games) and WV mask with MLB harness So the one you wear when it is colder is a heated frame It won't keep you face/head warm but I guess it could keep you hands warm between innings! I'm still getting use to my first set of pads that aren't leather. : Hey Warren I use the same exact mask with the doeskin padding. I love the mask. Furthermore I've heard nothing but great things relative to the TW pads. Do you like them as much? Or not? Let me know . Quote

Haven't used it in a game yet but I tried it on around the house and the vision looks fine. I liked the fm4000, just wished it would have keep original color better than it did and the ear guards could have been a little larger. If I had keep the fm4000, it would need to be powdercoated.
