This 12" West Vest Platnium is one year old. More importantly it is retrofitted with Team Wendy. I bought the chest protector in December last year and had it retrofitted in January (one of the last runs they did). I wore it for about 50 games this year. Also, I have removed a throat pad on the chest protector. 400$ shipped.

Pentagon patent leather plate shoes, and NB 1000's would be my recommendations. The plate shoes take a very little amount of matience and look brand new still. The NB 1000's are a great looking shoe after you replace the white shoe laces with black ones.

No offense toward the owner of that riddell, but it was in pretty bad condition from the photos he gave. It is missing the riddell power sticker with the lightning bolt and the plastic plates were scuffed pretty bad. Those who want that piece of equipment want one that is in much better condition.

The hair dryer trick works well. I took some time but they look and feel even better than before I did that.

Here they are! I start by saying that these shin guards fit like a glove. With the retro-fit finished I can honestly say that the profile is noticeably lower. The main plate that covers a majority of your tibia is now almost to wide. I would like the plate to have some more curve to it but that is most likely out of the question. One other thing some will notice is that Team Wendy does leave a stock Wilson pad in the attached to the shin guard. Why they do that, I have no idea. I assume it's the way the pad is connected to the plate. All in all I believe that these shin guards are much improved and worth the money you spend as well as the time that they are gone.

My association had not a soul in it that wore a bucket until this year. A fellow umpire took a foul ball that knocked him out for a couple minutes, and so everyone started to switch over. I kid you not 3 frames bent this season. Wilson did say that they would replace however I forget under what conditions.
