bases are loaded with no outs, with a count of one-ball, one-strike on the batter.  b4 hits a ground ball.  as f4 is fielding the ball, r3 collides with her.  what is the correct ruling?

softball I assume?  People are going to ask you what rule set this is being played under, however, ....I'll take a stab at this:

R3 is out for interference.

BR gets first

Send r2 back to second, and r1  back to third.

Not sure about softball but there's a possibility you COULD get 2 outs on a 4, 6, 3 double play if you feel it could have happened (but I may be wrong)

The other option is that both R1 (yes, the runner from first just changed her name!) and BR are out.  In some codes, that's only if the DP was likely or probable.  In others, it's only if the INT was "willful with the intent of stopping an obvious double play."

 

(In any case, the other runners return.)

 

So, yes, it depends on the rules set and a better description of R1's actions.

In my area (Nova Scotia , Canada) baseball is played by both and in fact there are some all girl teams.

Back to OP, she's out on Int. BR to 1st. R2 and R3 back to 2nd and 3rd. 

We have girls/women playing baseball on the West Coast too. Hey even female umpires.

Just playing the odds.  If you see a female with a bat and glove there's about a 99% chance she's playing softball, not baseball. 

I'm in Alberta and to my knowledge there are no all female baseball teams here, let alone leagues.  There are many girls who do play baseball with the boys but it's probably a 20:1 ratio, if not higher...especially in the mid-teens and higher.

As well, there are boy's softball teams at all age groups, but there are probably fifteen girls' teams for every boys' team...at least.

Men's softball (fast pitch) is very popular in Saskatchewan, but not tremendously outside of it....far more women's fast pitch teams then men's.  

There are, of course, a SH*# ton of men's slow pitch teams.   This is where all the beer sales come from.

Don't knock curling! It is the one sport I will watch when ever it is on and ask "why the hell am I watching this?"

I even, once (ok two or three times), looked into curling lessons. If they weren't so far away... I totally would have done it.

As far as I am aware, that is the closest to us here in the Portland Metro Area. They might have one up by me at Mt View Skate Rink. But I don't think so.
