Jeff, we should all acquire the habit of classifying these when we see them. What provision of 8.05 did he violate?

What levels would you call this a balk? I'm assuming youth and select ball no because I see kids do this all the time. 

​There are 2 questions:

  1. How far "south" of 45° does he need to be to rule a balk? This might vary by level; for HS and up, if you can clearly see it, you should be calling it (I won't speak for other levels).
  2. Would you call a balk for stepping toward the plate while throwing to 1B? Yes, at every level with balks.

​I think you're in the wrong balk video @maven :):wave:  

For me ......I'd call this in a JV game depending on the talent level (which you always must do, IMHO).
