Technology Integration Specialist--A new position for me this year.  I will be working on the campus of an elementary school and my primary job will be to teach classroom teachers how to integrate technology into their lessons.  I will also be doing some webmastering, social networking, and video production for the school.

Good luck with this.

My wife TRIED to do this at her school.

Old teachers set it their ways.

I service industrial instrumentation and control systems. My company alpinecontrols.com.  I was surprised to see a couple of other guys on here are in the same line of work. Very rare.

A common theme in this thread is many of us have professions that allow us to slip away and umpire games.

I'm an IT consultant. I spend all day, every day, teaching people how to computer.

Did you commit murder and this was your sentence?

Strange laws in Canada.

I think I may have done something unspeakable in a past life.

I've spent the whole day today trying to help a farm equipment reseller get set up with a new email system.

It's... fun...

Inner-city high school social studies teacher. My students think I'm paid for "throwing shade," "ribbing," "firing shots" and several other colloquialisms for not taking myself, or my student's antics, too seriously. I also coach at the varsity level at the same school.

Well, my paid free time has changed since I last posted here. Newly trained lifeguard at the smaller of the two pools in town.

Also the cadet web director and unofficial maker of recruiting materials for the local CAP squadron.

EDIT: THE POOL FIRED ME. I'M WORKING AT MACCAS NOW.

I'm a sysadmin for a HPC (High Performance Computing) cluster at a D1 public university. Prior to this, I spent about 10 years in small business computer/network consulting, but that's a young man's game and I'm getting too old for all-nighters - loved doing it though.

I spent 20+ years in politics and am now a stay at home wife. I keep my toe in the arena by being a political pundit on radio and advising on social media for campaigns.
