18 U tournament championship. I got the dish. 3rd inning batter has 1-2 count. Pitch is on the inside part of the plate, i ring him up. He stares at me and draws the line with the handle of the bat and says "thats where it was". I Tossed him, coach comes up to me and says "I'll put in #16 in for him". Pretty easy.

 

After the game my partner and i start talking about it and he says " you should of just warned him" i said "HELL NO, im not gonna let him show me up."

Who would warn? Who would EJ?

Easy ejection. I don't think any umpire I know would take that from a player of any age.

Easy for me ejection.... I would never warn.

Did you ask your partner for his opinion on the ejection? If you didn't, he deserves a good old-fashioned tongue-lashing. An old-school rule that should still be adhered to today is unless you're asked about game control feedback you should not be offering it. Period 

Unless you are the game assignor, your only job is to support your partner barring him going completely postal on the field. I know some of the "life coaches" that are currently umpiring think that everybody values their opinion and whatever their game control philosophy is should be adopted by everyone. 

My usual response to this type of partner is: "if you want to be a marshmallow be my guest" but it won't be happening on my watch.
