Thanks for the heads-up @dl1340. I just ordered a DeltaFlex harness from Ump-Attire, and will be embarking on making that modification to my Schutt XV as soon as it arrives. Yes, photos and/or video will be posted. I'm completely confident this alteration is going to work, and will put the XV over-the-top and better than the (unmodified123) Wilsons!

1 – A Wilson modified (read: improved) with a Team Wendy retrofit is a great (more protective, lower profile, more breathable) CP. #EndWearingSofaCushionFoam
2 – A Wilson (or Force3 UnEqual) modified with a DeltaFlex harness will give a superior, much more protective fit. #StopWearingYourCPLikeAShopApron
3 – All-Star has forward-thinking in mind with their System7-CPU4000 (pre-curved shoulder plates, sternum channel, wicking mesh on padding face), Force3 is using Kevlar, and Schutt is using TPU-EVA foam bricks and a holey shell. Why is Wilson mired in the past? #GetWithTheTimes #LookLikeAnUmpire&NotAHulkingGorilla

Just finished 9 innings (10 actually) in 90+ degree heat with the modified Schutt.

It was comfortable and never shifted or slid out of position.

A worthwhile modification for those who are interested.

I'm hoping for some great info from @MadMax. I love my VX but the straps tend to slide when I get sweaty. As the straps slide down, the CP pitches forward slightly exposing my clavicle. I took a nice shot yesterday. Thankfully, the ball caught just enough of the CP that some of the impact was absorbed by something other than my body. Hopefully the retrofit is easy enough that I can do myself. If not, my mother is pretty handy with a sewing machine.

FYI - that webbing probably takes a special heavy-duty needle, and probably a better-than-average sewing machine, too. Not saying it can't be done, but that it's not a trivial as I thought it would be when I was dealing with some seat-belt webbing.
