Hello all, I have been using a West Vest Gold for the past couple of seasons and while the protection has been phenomenal, the whole thing feels bulky and does leave my lower ribs (it is the largest sized of the three sizes Wilson offers) and abdomen exposed. With that in mind, I'm looking at getting a Force 3 protector after reading some of the smaller reviews in places like ump-attire, but was looking to see if anyone had anymore feedback that was a bit more in-depth. Primarily using it for varsity level high school ball Any help/feedback would be appreciated greatly

I'm thinking of getting one but pricing and opinions are hugely variable. I'm more than happy with my current F3v2 mask as my daily driver, so to speak, but I'm still concerned about broken bats and other flying objects that could hit me in the side of the head, so I've been contemplating biting the bullet and grabbing a HSM to use in higher-level wood bat leagues. So far the ones in contention are (in order of preference) the F3v2 Defender HSM, the All-Star MVP4000, and the Wilson MLB Pro Stock. From my perspective, the F3v2 still has the upper hand because of the springs and the extra bit of steel that extends over the forehead area, à la Gary Cederstrom's custom Wilson cage, not to mention it's over $100 cheaper than the All-Star. I'm not terribly concerned about more weight from the HSM as I didn't find the extra weight much of an issue when I switched from my +POS Zero-G to the F3v2 so I suspect I'll be fine going to the heavier HSM-style anyway. Anyone have experience with any of these masks? Things I should know that I might have missed or might not have thought about?

Force 3 Ultimate Chest Protector, v. 1: Everything is there, worn 25 games or so. Asking $175 shipped. 2. Powder Coated Mizuno Mask with Wilson padding and Mizuno Harness: I purchased this mask two years ago from an outstanding member of this site. The color is great! However it is a flat-view mask and I can't use it because I use an 8 stitch hat behind the plate. Used 5 games, padding and harness are good, and if you buy it you will enjoy it. I will throw a mask bag in with it. Asking $150 shipped. 3. Repaired Force 3 Roller bag, with good zipper pulls! This is the older model Force 3 bag that had the miserable zippers that did not work without bending and breaking off. I took it to a shoe repair store and the great owner replaced the tabs and pulls on the bag and a minor repair. I am getting rid of it because it is not big enough for my gear, size 15 feet and long shin guards do not a happy Force 3 bag owner make. Asking $70 + shipping (I am going this way on price because the last time I sold an equipment bag it went a long distance and I ended up losing money on the sale. Free shipping if we can meet somewhere near Columbus, Ohio). 4. Brand New, Never Worn Reebok low-cut Plate Magistrate shoes, Size 15. I have never worn them, and while I hate to get rid of them I will probably never use them except in case of emergency. But since big sizes were always hard to find in Reebok shoes it's unfair of me to let them sit in my house. Asking $105 shipped. I have other items heading toward ebay because nobody on here would want them, including some XL and 2XL shirts, a carry bag made by Cece Carlucci including shoe bags, and maybe one or two sets of Carlucci ball bags. After some swapping and some purchasing, it looks like I am going to have some gear to sell. I swapped my Douglas CP for the Wilson Gold, but it appears that the Wilson CPs are just not long enough or my torso. I was planning to retrofit with TW, but since I just bought tcasterlin's Unequal CP, I think I will just sell the Gold. It's either a M/L, or L/XL - I don't know for sure because the tag was cut off. When measuring the padding from the inside, it's about 12.5 inches from the neck area to the bottom. It's barely been worn by the original owner, so it's in great shape. I have not used it in a game at all. Also, I bought the Force 3 shins from tcasterlin because he preferred to sell them with the CP. I already have a pair of Force 3 shins, so I will probably be willing to part with them if I feel there is no need to have 2 pairs. They are the 16.5 inch ones. I'll only sell them if I get a solid offer. I'll post some pics of the items soon, but wanted to put this out there for the folks that may be interested.
