I would like to remove the print from my leather pads...anyone have thoughts on the best way to do this? Its not that i dont want to rep the +pos its just i want a wilson throat guard with the wilson mask.

It might be easier to take the Wilson logo off the throat protector.......paint thinner should take the Wilson logo off hard plastic......but anything I can think of may take the tan finish off the pads as well as the painted +POS logo......

Careful using chemicals on that pad.  As others have said depending what you use it may take off more than the ink.  Personally I'd try a Magic Eraser or a cleaner of some sort (scrubbing bubbles?) before I tried any straight chemical out of a can.

(and yes I know the Magic Eraser has chemicals in it too)

Why can't you put a Wilson throat guard on there with the +Pos showing?

I would not use Goof Off. It is a very "aggressive" solvent. I don't think it is compatible with leather.

Just put a Wilson throat guard on it. Logos don't have to match on a mask. Half the MLB guys have CPs with Wilson stickers on them and still show the original logos on their CPS. I've got a Mizuno frame with Wilson pads and an SSK throat guard, a Nike frame with TW pads and a Nike logo with a Wilson harness, and another Nike frame with Honigs pads and a Mizuno harness.

Some of us are AR and want our stuff to match whenever possible.  If you are reading and following this topic thread you may be afflicted as well.  It is an affliction for which there is probably no cure.  I like to match my logos whenever possible.  You should see my UnderArmour outfits. From Head to toe (or in this case, bottom to top)...shoes, socks, undies, shorts, pants, shirt, jacket, hat. I feel out of sync when I mix in Nike or Majestic or New Era logos.

Go ahead, laugh!  It is a sickness.  @JoHart10 I feel your pain.  Hahaha.  It really is a crazy sickness.

Try an area upholsterer for a product known as Leather Tape. You might be able to have a swatch of similar / exact leather to adhere over the top of it... Or, on the same vein, being that it's leather and that logo is just silk-screened on, the upholsterer might have some magically concocted solvent to remove it.

I used goof off to rmove the champion logo from my cp. Great idea. Worked perfectly.

I used nail polish remover to get rid of the big white "REEBOK" label on the heel of my plate shoes and it worked great. But those shoes have vinyl outers and they're black. You might have an issue with staining or darkening on light colored leather. Maybe you could try a liitle on an inconspicuous spot to see if it stains.

Team Wendys

That's what I did just recently.  But I didn't like the TW logo, so I used nail polish remover and a white cotton cloth (and a lot of rubbing) to take the TW logo off those pads.
