Does anyone know if this was released on a DVD by MLB? I too would love to see it.

 

Maybe, someone can put it on DVD and it can be mailed to an established list. We follow the list in order. Once you get done watching it, you contact the name on the list next by PM, get their mailing address and forward the DVD along. No money charged. No copyright infringement, and everyone gets a chance to view it, in turn, provided no one sits on it to mail it to the next guy. Last guy mails the DVD back to the original owner.

 

Just an idea.

OK, I have contacted my TiVo tech support person, translate to my sister. She has four TiVos and a daughter with no cable. She says the link I gave you will download the free app and will work for new and old. The problem is you need your MAK key to view it so whoever you send it to has to download the app and have your MAK key number to view it. Go in settings and work through the menus to get it. She says it's simple. Then she said to call if you have trouble. Try it and see if it works, if not PM me and I'll get her to email me the exact procedure.

That's not practical and you don't want to be giving out your MAK.  You can strip the DRM from the file with a free program called direct-show dump which can be downloaded at this link:

DSD will strip the DRM from the *.tivo file and make it view-able by anyone without your MAK or any TiVo software.

As far as I know, DSD is a Windows program.  You'd have to run an instance of Windows in a VM (Parallels?) on the Mac.  Once the video file is converted it is just a standard video file and can be played on any platform.

I figured it was...yeah, I'm not big on parallels, but I know there are some advantages.  Thanks!

I loaded the TiVo desktop program but its not detecting my TiVo. I am working on it Sent from my Bed
