I imagine this has already been discussed in the past. But with the new Polywool pants introduced into the market by Gerry Davis, it has added a new dimension to the topic. For the longest time, I have always been a Honigs guy for pants. But with the supposed decline in quality. I am now looking for an alternate. So I am asking you guys for comparisons between the new Davis/Feicheimer pants, the new version of the Honigs Polywool, and the Smitty Polywool sold by @UADirOps Thanks. (Side Question: I think I had bought a pair of Smitty's in the past and the base pants had white pockets. Is that still the case?)

I guess in slo-mo there's a tiny little front leg movement, but in real speed looks like any other pick-off .... AJ wasn't happy! I guess that's his first balk called on him in 16 years? AJ = DB Your browser does not support iframes.

Perfect behind the plate or anywhere on a football field in the late fall, these 100% acrylic gloves include "control dots" for a sure grip. Great combination of warmth and dexterity. One size fits all.
-
Baseball and softball umpires will love these gloves on the bases, football officials will need them on really cold days. Insulated fleece, waterproof, breathable to keep you warm without building up excess perspiration. "Gripper" palms and fingers make it possible to handle the ball in miserable weather. Sizes large and XL.

Ok, ..I know there aren't a ton of angles on the videos, and that NY has many more views of this. However .... the actions of BOTH F2 and the runner make things pretty obvious, don't they? http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/63817564/v36558053

So we all recall the Majestic Cool Base shirt sale that Gerry Davis had a while back. They call me the morning after I place the order telling me that they are out of stock on my shirts and that hopefully they can place an order with Majestic for more. Then two weeks later, GD calls me again to tell me that Majestic wont be sending more until later and want to know if I want to cancel my order (they never charged me for it) or switch to the Smitty version of the shirts? So there I lays my conundrum. Im positive this has been descussed before but how do the Smittyxs compare to the Majestics? I want to call GD back by warly next week with my decision, but I dont know what to decide. Thanks in advance for not killing for not searching. Oh and thanks for the help too...

Gentlemen, Time to cull out some of my excess gear. I have the following for sale. I will try to take some pics later this week. 1. Gerry Davis Black Plate Coat $175 (2008 purchase)-Size 44 with 32 inch sleeves. Number 22 on right sleeve (can be removed carefully and replaced with any other number and no one could ever tell.) I wear this over a West Vest Gold CP. I did not wear it all in 2010 and 2011 as I was in Afghanistan. I have only worn it twice each the past two seasons. I wore it a total of about 30 games in 2008 and 2009. 2. Fechheimer Navy Plate Coat. $100 (2008 purchase)- Size 42 with 32 inch sleeves. NO numbers. Has black velcro on left chest pocket to allow a patch to be attached. I only wore this coat about 4 times and I thought it was cursed as I had an ejection EVERY time I wore it. I got rid of my red assness in 2008 but for some reason this coat brought out the worst in coaches and me. (All ejections were for violation of at least one of the P's- Profane, Personal or Prolonged) 3. Honig's Navy microfiber quarter zip jacket with powder/white shoulder stripes, size large. $30. No numbers on sleeves, no pockets, rib knit bottom and cuffs, stand up collar. 4. New Balance 450 Plate Shoes, Size 10D (2008 Purchase- used 2 seasons) N blacked out. $25 5. New Balance 350 Base Shoes, Size 10D (2008 Purchase- used 2 seasons) N blacked out. $20 6. Reebok Quagmire, Hi-Top, NFL Logo, base/field Shoes with white stripes. Size 9.5 D. Used about three games. Great for muddy fields or rough land or Football/Lacrosse Refereeing. $20 7. Honig's Cap Caddy (Clear Plastic, holds about 4 caps) $5 I've got more stuff: Diamond aluminum mask, micro fiber mask pads, +POS 4 wheel steel indicator (heavy as hell), Gerry Davis metal three wheel indicators (2). I will take a look and update this post later with prices, pics, etc. If interested PM me or email: dcteater@gmail.com. All prices firm, Payment with PayPal payment or money orders. Shipping extra, will calculate and negotiate with you on method of ship, insurance or not, etc.

I was watching Clubhouse Confidential this morning, and noticed they were interviewing Gerry Davis. I only caught the last little bit of the interview, and then they talked to Larry Bowa about interacting with umpires. Anyway, at the end of the Gerry Davis Segment, they put in a plug for a show called "The Third Team." It is supposed to be a behind the scenes with the Umpire Crew at the 2012 World Series. I think it airs on December 27th, at 7 p.m. Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone else was interested in watching. Craig

Hey guys. Like most of you, I wanted to offer something in here before taking it to Ebay. These pants look almost exactly like the GD pants, except they don't have the 3 belt loops all close together. Same darker, non-smitty-blended color, same cut and style. Used but because of the dark color, they look great. Inseam is about 30-31 inches with some hem folded under. $37 shipped. PayPal.
