RLI on Aoki .......... http://m.mlb.com/video/v32868193/?query=interference And .... The MLB Network/ MLB tonight crew discuss .......sort of silly mind you...... http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/7417714/v32885999/?query=interference I hate it when they don't give you THE ENTIRE RULING verbiage! (k) In running the last half of the distance from home base to first base, while the ball is being fielded to first base, he runs outside (to the right of) the three-foot line, or inside (to the left of) the foul line, and in the umpires judgment in so doing interferes with the fielder taking the throw at first base, in which case the ball is dead; except that he may run outside (to the right of) the threefoot line or inside (to the left of) the foul line to avoid a fielder attempting to field a batted ball; Rule 6.05(k) Comment: The lines marking the three-foot lane are a part of that lane and a batter- runner is required to have both feet within the three-foot lane or on the lines marking the lane. The batter-runner is permitted to exit the three-foot lane by means of a step, stride, reach or slide in the immediate vicinity of first base for the sole purpose of touching first base.

Just a heads up... MLB Network will be airing a show callled "MLB 2013: Unwritten Rules" today at 11pm PST (please adjust for your time zone and check your local listings just to make sure.) the synopsis says: "MLB Network's Bob Costas, Jim Kaat, Harold Reynolds, and Tom Verducci discuss retaliation, on-field celebrations, bunting during no hitters, stealing signs, and how these rules have changed in the last 50 years." This could actually be really fun. Just wish we could get an umpire on MLB Network because the umpire point of view on a few of these topics could be very interesting.

I was watching Clubhouse Confidential this morning, and noticed they were interviewing Gerry Davis. I only caught the last little bit of the interview, and then they talked to Larry Bowa about interacting with umpires. Anyway, at the end of the Gerry Davis Segment, they put in a plug for a show called "The Third Team." It is supposed to be a behind the scenes with the Umpire Crew at the 2012 World Series. I think it airs on December 27th, at 7 p.m. Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone else was interested in watching. Craig
