  1. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/51231442/v1100867183 In 2-man, for any BU starting at A (no-one on)... In 3-man, for any U1 starting at A (no-one on, R1, or 2-outs)... In 4-man, for any U1... If there is a grounder that gets between F3 and F4's initial position, resist the compulsion to go dashing in and pivot (or, in 3- and 4-man, crossing the chalk). Read the ball, as F4 may be able to get over there and get it, or on smaller fields, a shallow-playing / fast F9 may be able to field it and throw to F3... In which case, your best angle is to be in foul territory, almost in the 1BC box, without potentially wearing a throw while cutting across.
  2. in the act ......... Your browser does not support iframes. Here's another 7.13 review ........ notice the two positions by Gibson above, and Davidson below .... Your browser does not support iframes.
  3. got to be one of (if not THE) toughest situation to get a great position ...... he nailed it though Your browser does not support iframes.
  4. can anyone explain why this is happening? Your browser does not support iframes.
  5. Ok, here's a good one to review for positionings sake ..... when F2 goes to the FOUL side of the 3bl to receive the throw .... you should... Your browser does not support iframes.
  6. Can anyone post a video of the 3rd out at the top of the 2nd inning? R2, 2 outs......single to F8, who comes up gunning to Home. Close play, and I think PU got it right, but his positioning/view of the play was suspect. He could have been hosed pretty bad but the way it developed, I think he ended up seeing it cleanly. IMHO, he should have taken a read step or 2 to stay on F2's left hip.
  7. This call was overturned after a challenge ....   I don't do 4 man, but .... is this the typical movement for a play like this?   http://m.mlb.com/video/?content_id=32204509&topic_id=vtp_review&query=challenge of cabrera's
  8. What's the best practice for positioning so we reduce the chances of missing plays like this?  OR, is it inevitable because of where we are located on the field?  This can definately apply to us "2-man" only crews also ....   http://m.mlb.com/video/?content_id=31777963&topic_id=vtp_review&query=aviles safe after review
  9. This is the banner they give us on our Provincial (yes, I'm Canadian) baseball association. I find the positioning to be a way too far back and maybe to high, but this is the picture we see when we go to the site. Thoughts? (if it doesn't show a plate umpire, just refresh until it comes up.) http://www.baseballontario.com/umpires/
  10. First .... A crazy play resulting in a play at the plate.  Does he miss this because he was moving? http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?content_id=28114933 http://wapc.mlb.com/play?content_id=28114933       Also, later, ..... DJ get's a 99mph fastball to the ankle.....   http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?content_id=28119443 http://wapc.mlb.com/play?content_id=28119443         UPDATED THE FIRST VIDEO ....I found it .....
  11. Out for sure, but I posted this because it's the second play at the plate where you see the PU rotating around past 3BLX ... The other is the "tag" video I posted (collision) http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=21055217&c_id=mlb
