You're right Kyle. It's like my cop friends w/ their bullet resistant vests...most will go a career and not have to use it. But "when the $hit goes down, you better be ready" -old school House of Pain lyric

As you can see on the back side of the CP, everything is customizable/adjustable:

The rib extension is adjustable, the shoulder caps are adjustable, the side flaps are adjustable.

Now, I'm in the process of adjusting the straps. I can say that there is plenty of strap for adjusting. I'm not lean nor obese and there is plenty of strap available for umpires of all sizes. It is taking some work to get it to fit properly. I will take a picture of the fully adjusted CP in the mirror...for contrast, I will wear a white undershirt. For the initial picture, I will not adjust the torso protector for those umpire who desire a longer torso protector for their ribs.
