Honestly, it looks like a jacket you can buy at any sporting good store, with an MLB logo on it. Is it possible he forgot to pack his or something happened and they had to improvise on the fly with an MLB patch to cover the logo that's normally on a jacket?

that's correct, and I asked Jim Kirk @UADirOps (Ump-Attire) about it when they first came out ..... it never got anywhere .......sharp jacket!

This is referred to by MLB as their rain jacket. Majestic never made these available to the public.

Doesn't appear all the tight to me, seems a bit loose (normal) fitting.

Other than what appears to be some white piping on the sleeve, this looks just like a Columbia jacket I own.
