Ok, I know we don't have the audio for this, but .........it appears Pagan says "that's not a strike twice" .... then he's EJ'd .....

if that's all he said and he didn't get demonstrative or delay and kept his head down, then that's too quick of a hook

I think his antics after the first pitch didn't help him ...........  you can see that at the end of the video .......

Took Hirschebeck long enough to remove his mask...geez!

A hasty EJ, for sure.  But, he squawked about both called strikes while in the box.

It's a conspiracy.  Umpire ejected him?, but he didn't even look at him.

As an umpire with a reputation for the quick hook, I have really concentrated on observing this season, this doesn't mean there have been no ejections. However there has been a lot more "Coach get your house in order. You guys paid a lot of money to be here, so let's keep everybody in the game"

But, recently I witnessed a "He's not gonna look at me and laugh" ejection. PU and BR had words about getting in the box. Don't know whether it was a disagreement on pitch location, or just 'BPS' (Big Poppy Syndrome), probably both.

Can of Corn to right center to retire BR, he makes the big turn to go back to the first base dugout, he must have looked at the PU smiling, laughing, whatever..... and PU shot him. There were several "one more word" warnings throughout the weekend, I, was laughing at this guy a lot.

As for this one, Pagen jumps out of the box in an unsportsmanlike display on strike one and says who knows what. 1-1 count, pitch for strike two, Commentators "We'll he went right back to the same location, you'd be crazy not to go out there. that was better than the first one"  From 14 seconds to 19 seconds Pagen continues to verbalize his disagreement about balls and strikes, he had his say. We don't know if Hirschbeck made verbal response, maybe a, get back in the box warning. At 20 seconds after having his say and stepping into the box. We'll, Pagen wanted the last word, and we don' know what that word was. Bang!!

Quick, and efficient game management skills.

And here's what else we don't know. Have the umpires been directed from the top, to stop this arguing of balls and strikes? Use more of the strike zone? (you know, pace of game), Or, just a bad day?????????? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop,  the world may never know.

Whether he look's at you or not, if he has to go, send him.

Is it me or is there a lot more crying this year, especially with the strike zones and check swings?

It's getting to the point now where kids want to argue balls and strikes and check swings like they are mlb.

I can understand disagreeing with what is called, but I don't see how pulling a harper, pagan, bourn, Gonzalez, etc solves anything. In the CWS, at least they get in and swing the bat.

That's because college coaches will run them afterwards :D

You know what I'd like to see? After an EJ, the Player or coach is fined $1,000 per second until he steps into the clubhouse. This "get his money's worth" is nonsense, because they're not losing any money. Talk about speeding up the game! Pagan was tossed (on the video) at .22. At 2.22, he was still complaining in the dugout. Great, you want to hang out and whine? That'll be $120,000. NOW go ahead and get your money's worth!

.....these guys will leave skid marks out of the batters' box and we'll cut the EJ's in half.........JMHO
