Glad to see it called and I think it should be called more often at that level.  although the rule is obviously different it will help us with the FPSR calls at the college and HS level.

The call, while correct, not only takes a run off the board but ends an inning. Then the player argues.

 

Washington is paid to come out when this happens. 

 

Why the player argued? "Nobody makes that call". Can almost guarantee it.

Even without the arm this a call that should be made. He didn't look at second, he was flat going after the fielder.
