We had this scenario in our game the other night. Bases were loaded, the batter gets hit by a pitch. The runner from 3rd misses home plate initially, after taking 3-4 steps towards the dugout, he goes back to step on home plate. The umpire picks up the dead ball (after the HBP), hands it to the catcher and the catcher tags our runner before he touches home. Umpire calls him out, what is the official ruling? I know it is not correct!
