It was a joke.  He said in the auction that he has his other mask he is using as he "play college baseball" and was selling this new one.  For all I know he plays NAIA or JUCO and is not regulated by the NCAA.  Like I said, it was a joke.

I just want to know what knucklehead is out there paying that much for a mask??  Seriously??!!  Are they idiots??  I would put my Diamond Mask with Team Wendy Pads against that mask any day of the week.  Idiots.....

I was in on the bidding for another one that ended up selling for $406. My max price was $300 though.

$345 for Honig's plate shoes. I know a lot of people missed the old style of shoe from +POS and Honigs but I had no idea it was like that. I wonder if there was some emotional bidding going on there?

I've got a pair of old (but in great shape) +POS low tops, and Gerry Davis Patent leather low tops. Reserved only for four man special occasions. The +POS, IMO, are still the best looking plate shoes ever produced, and the most durable. But they're just so freaking heavy, compared to NB or Reebok.

 

For masks, I've had most, but like how the shape of the Honig's fits my face. Every face is different, yet nobody ever talks about fit. It's all about a couple of grams one way or the other.
