Honigs Data Breach

I'm reading about rumors of a Honigs data breach on Facebook.  

I guess some guys have actually received letters from Honigs regarding this issue.

Can anybody on here confirm?

I got a letter from them today

I had a bad charge on my CC - the only place that I had used it was Honig's. I don't carry a balance, so it was easy pick up. Some game place in California was the charge.. Mine was on a phone order

I've been a victim 2x so far in the last 18 months ....... target & home depot ......  starting to piss me off

Well that (possibly) explains the $110 Williams Sonoma charge that caused me to cancel one card and get a new one last week....

I had almost $900 of unauthorized online purchases made from California... makes sense now.

Also learned via facebook that this is PHONE and INTERNET orders only ........   a customer / umpire called Honig's to get this info ........

I had some weird charges about a month ago as well. Some itunes charges. This would explain a lot. I had to cancel my card as well.

​I doubt that's true: once their POS system has been hacked, everything is vulnerable.

I had to get a new CC last week and wondered what the source of the breach was. This could have been it.

​How many orders do they get that are NOT phone or internet?  I'm pretty sure all the orders at clinics are treated just as phone orders.

I had iTunes charges, charges at a winery, and Playstation Network charges.  

I haven't received a letter yet.

Sounds like that this was an active breach. Not just that the data was compromised but it was actually used.

A month or so ago, I also had a fraudulent charge on the CC that I used at Honigs.

I also had some unauthorized activity from iTunes on my card...Discover caught it and I got a new card.  No letter from Honigs though...but I ordered some new football shirts almost simultaneously with that activity.

I've ordered from them in the last several months, and I bought something at the NCAA meeting in Chicago in January. I checked my statement from the first week of March until now and didn't notice anything and haven't gotten a letter from them. I'm thinking I need to get a new card though.

Cabela's caught some fraudulent charges on my card back in March and sent me a new card.  I didn't realize it was related to Honig's until reading the random charges showing up in this thread.
