Ok ...

I've been using an All-Star "Shock Jock" ...and until yesterday, never really had it 'tested'.  Now, I'm not too sure if maybe it was slightly out of position, or that I just can't recall what it feels like to take on in the boyz, but ....my first thought throughout the rest of the game was, ..."maybe it's time for a nuttybuddy?"

Well, I've been looking here, online at ump-attire, and on the nutty buddy site, and I'm seeing some contradicting information.  The Nuttybuddy site now shows a compression short w/ a cup pouch for the NB.  Ump-Attire is still showing the NB and a jock.

I found a thread that speaks about the 'black' NB compared to the white one (original) but nothing on "how to wear it" and the info that's on the NB site w/ the 'Battle' compression shorts ......

Thoughts?

I understand that the Battle SHorts have a pocket designed for the Nutty buddy.

I still wear mine:

1. Compression Shorts

2. Nutty Buddy

3. Jock Strap

Thanks Rolando ...

Will a NB fit inside a 'cup pouch jock' ??

Its not supposed to because of the design. The lower part of the NB sits lowers on you because of the design. So if you put it in a regular cup pocket it probably won't sit correctly.

But I will say there was a time when I left my strap at home and put it in a regular cup and felt different but seemed to work.

I know that some people tried the battle compression shorts that were designed for the nutty buddy (i would guess that the pouch is a little different from what is on other compression leggings) and they did not like them. It was either on here or on another site.

I love mine and have always worn it compression/NB/jock (to me, the NB branded jocks work the best). I have been using my newer black NB for a while now and I have had no issues with the rubber coming loose like I did with the old style.

Jeff, If you find something or hear how to wear the NB please post. I currently use the Shock Doctor comp. shorts with a cup pocket,  the carbon cup stays in place really well. But I am interested in the NB fit.

I am with Jax on this.

Compression Tights...NB...NB Jock.

I think the NB jock is designed to help keep it in place well with extra thick elastic on the leg straps and stretch jock material for fitting around the NB.

Just my thoughts...but I won't mess with something that I think fits and stays well.

right.

I do wish it had a wider waistband though -- I don't like how narrow it is.

That is the only issue I have as well, but it works so much better than the other brands of pocketless jocks I have tried.

Can you wear other types of compression shorts, like the McDavid hex pad leggings, with the nutty buddy over them?

The size recommended for my waist size was perfect.

I dont think someone has done his due dilligence of seaching on the site. LOL

I do the same as Rolo. Compression leggings-NB-jock. Only issue I have had is that the jock doesmt seem to hold up to the washing machine. I've had issues with threads coming undone or the elastic strands breaking in the straps.

However, despite any issues I have had with the jock, the NB is the most comfortable piece of equipment I wear. So much so, that I have almost forgotten it more than once since it feels like I dont even have it on while wearing it.

Gentlemen, it has been stated a million times. You do not... DO NOT... put a Nutty Buddy in a pocket. It will not sit properly and not prorext you like it should.

How about using them in the McDavid tights with the floating cup pockets?

Nope. I tried it.

I go Jockey shorts, NB, NB jock strap, then long compression tights. Works like butter, and way better then the Shock Doctor setup I was using.

I go Jock with a shock doctor cup then compression leggings over. I tried the NB, it just wasn't for me. When I did use the NB I found the best way to wear it was NB, jock, then leggings. I'm not a huge fan of wearing my cup and jock over my leggings. It seems to cause the cup to lift off of the boyz when I go down into the slot and requires adjustment every few pitches.

Kyle, the cup doesn't fit in the cup holder on the McDavid

I went through 2 NB jocks this season. I do agree though. Very comfortable piece of equipment. Has anyone worn the NB with other jocks? Any issues?
