Not sure if this is what Buck is arguing, but I would be arguing once you called a foul my guy stopped running, taking away any chance he had at beating the throw.

It's not like a 10U game (or Cubs game for that matter) where the batter reaches on an U3K.  I suppose it's possible, but 99 times out of 100 at least he's out.  While I could see the argument, I'd sa

Sure that's what he is arguing. He has an argument, Angel understandably thought it was foul and killed it. Once he killed it the runner no longer can advance. I don't see how they change that, even if they conference and decide it wasn't foul. This is why I hate the replay and get together mantra. They may have gotten it right but there is no way to fix the mistake. By keeping it foul you at least get a do over.

I was shocked it was overturned, but I disagree with the part in bold.   I think it's complicated, but if a guy on the bases clearly saw what happened, why should the batter get another chance?  Now if there were runners on base I don't know what the hell would happen.

He isn't, he gets an unfair knock for some reason. Look back at all the videos posted in the pro section and he is there very few times.

Because he didn't get a first chance on this play.  By killing the play Hernandez stopped the batters chance (albeit a slight chance) of reaching first base, because the batter stopped running.  Showalter has a legitimate complaint here IMO.

He definitely has a legitimate complaint.  However, he swung and missed and I simply don't have a problem (if another guy legitimately saw a swing without contact) with the out call.  The catcher clearly collected the ball at about the time the runner would've gotten to about the 45', so throwing him out wouldn't have been a problem for a lot of young catchers, let alone a professional catcher.

 

If you're willing to let him get back into the box because he had the slightest of slight chance to make it to first base then that's fine.  I'm just not willing to go that far.
