Mask Porn?

My two babies for the upcoming season. No throat guards but I'm willing to take recommendations. I'm contemplating chopping the guard off the Wilson!

@JDavis225 I'd chop the guard off the Wilson and stick a hanging guard on there. The angle of the built in throat guard does almost nothing in my opinion. That said, I don't use a hanging guard on any of my masks.

I chopped the chin guard off my Wilson titanium. Easy to do if you have the right tools. I used a dremel tool then a drill with a sander attachment to make the cuts even.

All three masks are sweet!  First one is my personal favorite.  I always thought that you could only use Force3 pads in a Force3 mask ... learn something new everyday.

I tried to put the TW pads on the force 3, they fit and I liked the feel of it. I didn't think it would work either. I also think it is significantly lighter with the TW pads then with the stock pads.

Haven't worn them on the field yet. But just putting them on, they feel great

Just be careful. The pads were specifically designed to make the mask work correctly.

I know. I took them off and put the original ones back on. The bottom spring was hitting my chin if I got hit there.

He wears the Force 3 mask and the regular pads for it and he has had two lacerations in 2 months from getting hit with a foul ball period facts are facts

Try to find somebody else of the MLB catchers or the umpires that wear the mask that had suffered an injury that put in jeopardy their season and their livelihood. I will keep using mine and believing in the product and the brand.

It's low profile. It's quite lightweight. While being vinyl-dipped, it is hollow steel. It has that iconic uniform bullring and wicket. The chin guard is average sized, but being that these masks are done in small batches, I think it passes...

Boom. Whoa. Didn't expect that, huh? Neither did I. When I was browsing through eBay looking for good inexpensive masks for my junior / rookie umpires, I happened across this one. I don't care if it has Reebok pads and a Reebok harness on it, that creature is a Nike. The story is that this was the one-time mask of the Arizona Diamondbacks' bullpen catcher, and since he's sponsored by Reebok, the pads and harness got that treatment. I couldn't pass it up, and got it for quite the bargain. Would anybody want the memory-foam / gel pads and the harness?

I'll be sending it off to Tony and MaskIt to have the vinyl media-blasted off and then powder coated gunmetal metallic.

I would have bought one myself. But I like the black on black look for thrthr Force3. So I am going to hold out and pay the extra $50 for mine.

What's the throat guard being worn in the Cubs-Giants game tonight and where can I get one? That'd look good on my Wilson Ti with the now chopped throat guard.
