Another case for MLB Umpires. 90%+ accuracy. If only announcers, fans, mgrs, and players were that good!

Trap

Regular speed that's a tough one :D

Regular speed thats almost impossible. The ball bounced an inch before the glove so not mouch of a bounce to be noticed

Wow a tough call either way looking at the replay it looks like it might have bounced off the webbing into the glove and the original catch call was correct. But not a call I think could have been made from the field.

But secondarily to the play and the call is Scully. He makes the call sides with the umpires, and translates the argument as only Scully can.

i dont know how that gets overturned. i would have liked to be in that crew meeting. who could have had a better view and say positively 100% that there crew member who had the best position of everyone was wrong and they saw it clearly on a play we cant see clearly on slo mo

Scully needs to sit down with all the other announcers and give a clinic on decency before he leaves us for good.

hes one of the few who has a voice that is synonomous with baseball...my favorite call of his (even though it was well before my time) is the call of the bill bucknor play where his voice jumps at "behind the bag"

Vin Scully --- I hope all other announcers revere him as much as we do.

Someone should make a video collection of his best moments. Not sure who would do it, but it would be instructional for all announcers. Heck, I'd watch it just for the pleasure of it.

I agree with UIC a catch. Live, whatever you call is correct, too close to say he was wrong. Even with slow mo it is inconclusive. Just another example of getting together and screwing up.
