I have a Majestic Jacket that I purchased last year. I have never worn this jacket. It does not have tags, but it is still basically brand new. This is the black jacket with the polo blue stripes. I am wanting to purchase the new black jacket with the white stripes. Anyone willing to take this off my hands for me? Size large.

I can send you some pictures. It looks just like the ones that are for sale at ump-attire though LOL I have never even taken it out of the closet. What's your email? I will send you some pictures and we can talk price.

I'm sorry, I don't think I'm going to be selling the jacket now. I have found out the black jacket that I'm wanting has 1/4" white stripes instead of 1/2" white stripes like all the other matching jackets.

Does anyone know what the reason behind not matching the stripes on the Majestic with the stripes on the jackets that were currently on the market at the time of production? I don't understand that. If you are making a special product that is being made solely with the idea of it being worn with what is out there already, then why wouldn't you make that one particular detail (the most important, the stripes) match? Just a curious concept...

Yes, I was slightly bothered by that as well. It makes no sense to me either.

The thinner the better on those stripes. So, I guess if the best jacket--Majestic-- goes with thinner stripes, let the others try to copy them. I have a Dalco jacket with a high school patch glued onto it (mistake), and its white stripes are pinstripe thin (1/8 inch). It looks great, but I can only wear it in high school with a partner wearing a long sleeve shirt.

Knowing the Majestic Therma Base has thinner-than-normal stripes makes me more likely to buy it now. Anyone want to buy a lightly used +POS black XL with the thick stripes? :)

Specify model number of the +POS and PM or post your price.

I am interested.

I left it at our winter site, so I can't check it at the moment (I'll check it later today). It's the Official Minor League model from a few years ago, but I bought it new a couple of years ago. It's not one of the new wave of jackets. But you know that just by my being in and around L.A. that it's barely used. :)

Most of our games are two-man. And most of the guys who work the dish wear a long-sleeve black shirt with layers underneath. So, on the bases, I wear the Majestic Cool Base all-black, the Honig's zip-off convertible with the piping across the chest, or the black quarter-zip with white shoulder stripes. Well, when I start to wear the new Majestic (after it arrives Wednesday or Thursday), it'll usually be in a two-man. And the three-man cold weather games are all college intrasquads, where the other base guy will sometimes have the new Majestic anyway. I can't see the thinner stripes making any difference, other than making the Majestic a more attractive jacket.

One of these guys is doing his own thing. I'll let you draw your own conclusions :-)

The PU is wearing a built-in radiator, and rarely needs a jacket. The only folks who notice the jacket differences are umpire geeks. Honestly, who cares?

I wish more base umpires would wear the long sleeved jersey, just to make it more "acceptable". It's a nice look, IMO, and feels better than a jacket.

Man, that full-zip Majestic looks even better next to those quarter-zip pullovers!

I can't wait to see the one with the all-white stripes. I get to wear it Friday if this cold snap continues, and the UPS guy comes before 3:00.
