That is alot of low profile masks! -
Personally, I find New Balance's response to this situation to be quite troubling. To simply respond to questions about the misrepresentation of the product by pointing to the benefits of the new materials used in its production, rather than acknowledging that they erred, seems to me to be less than straightforward. I purchased these shoes specifically on the basis of their claims that the shoes had both the steel toe and were lighter in weight, anticipating (I think quite reasonably) that they would provide better protection as well as comfort. Given the fact that the New Balance's claims are not accurate, i might as well stay with Reeboks which I find to be quite comfortable and offer generally adequate protection. I will no longer purchase New Balance products.

I had the same experience with the finish as well.

The all black plate shoe will be fine... The toe logo on the black and white model is too much... The zigs do take extra work to clean... Lookss like they did ad some traction, at least on the football models.

No red shirts for me... Refuse to wear anything that makes me look like produce.., lol

Boyinr....Which cp is your favorite, and why? I am a gear junkie too. All Star, Douglas, WV Gold. 3 different SGs and 4 masks. I have owned everything except a Nike mask and a Riddell Power. I will wait to see how others fair with the Unequal. I doubt the physics. The video didn't prove a thing to me. I have never been hit in a staged and controlled manner. If I had $$$$ on the line ( like JE does) I could nut it up and take a glacing blow wearing any of my gear.

Amen and Amen

I be one of those too... Lol Because I'm a gear whore.....

Hmmm a good thought

Just goes to show that "best" is what is best for each individual. Kylejt astutely pointed out that for masks and helmets it comes down to what is the best fit for your particular face/head.

Looks pretty darn sweet.... Temptation!!!!!!!!

Sounds like they might be some new designs in time for football..... Nike has the NFL contract now... Maybe some zigs with quag/ cleated soles? Adidas seem popular in college football as well...

I would certainly go with my doctor until you have clear evidence to support doing otherwise.

I love UA, but, I did not have good luck with the Ultimate shirts either. Snags, picks, and faded rather quickly.

I contacted the seller to clarify and he actually wanted 900.00 apiece.. Went down to 600.00 for me because he noticed that I had a Hispanic surname, I am not kidding. I passed. -

There is a big difference between a couple of hundred ( i might go for that) and five hundred ( definitely not doing that) ... A price of $450 for a mask was never a fair asking price and only seems to be due to all of the shameless gouging that's been going on with the sales of these Nike masks. I haven't worn one in a game, but I tried one, and played with it. It looks somewhat cool, has pads that I would immediately replace, and a cage that seems more neatly crafted than my titanium(s), but at more than twice the price (plus the cost of the extra pads), it's just an absolute joke. America is the land of many things, including suckers. I'm sure that if these Nikes actually exist, this gouger will get $450 each. And there will probably even be some jock-sniffer who'll lay out $150 for those mediocre pads, just to adorn his titanium frame and make everybody think he's wearing a Nike. Now I'm going to call my father and thank him once again for my inherent sense of reason. Well I guess I'm one of those people.. I purchased a new still in the box nike mask from a retired AAA catcher for a couple hundred. I'm a gear junkie and don't exactly find it a problem paying good money for the best equipment. -
