  1. Sigh... Nevermind... I'm basically brand-new to this equipment thing, so I'll leave it to you guys.
  2. To my point, how do you attach the female Fidlock to the vest? Sure, anyone can put the male end on the strap... but you'll have to mod the CP to put a female one it - especially so when the female end has T-hooks and not an existing female clip end! FWIW, I'm not offended... just think it through. 😇
  3. That was a Riddell Power, different beast entirely. Wilson Gold TW is normally between $300-400, but a Power fetches a lot more.
  4. Email him at rbumpire37@gmail.com
  5. Carlucci? I want to see it.
  6. I'll guess it's V4 of their CP and mask... but at least the CP for sure. They've been running their sale all year long to clear out the existing model, so now it's time for a new one to come along. I'm afraid to guess price point though!
  7. I thought you did. I was tempted, but can't swing $1500+. It looks like it's in great shape too - and he added gap protection from an old set of shoulder pads it appeared.
  8. They’re good frames, I’ve nothing bad to say, especially at that price!
  9. Yes, may the games begin! A Riddell Power with Team Wendy padding!
  10. lol!😂 Okay, I’m blind. As an umpire no less! I totally kicked it, guilty as charged. It’s been a terrible week… glad it’s ending. I can see it now!
  11. A shirt is not a flag, so wear it proudly in my opinion. Now, you should wear it clean, keep it fresh and keep it sharp just like the flag. Once it's sun-faded or dirty, time to clean up or replace. Don't disrespect the flag... or the shirt that represents our flag.
  12. Just for the sake of playing devil's advocate, I still say that is NOT a Honig's K1. The hard plate showing above the open shirt neck is plastic, not covered in nylon. Also, the neck roll material does not match the Honig's chest protectors shown. I'm still NOT 100% on what it is - but I'd bet good money that it is NOT a Honig's CP... and I don't bet... ever.
  13. Hi all. I'm sitting on some new items I'd like to swap for a nice metal 6" throat guard, preferably a Zett or Slugger styled metal throat guard. Ideally, I'd like to find one of each in navy and in black. Let me know what you have and what you'd like for it please. New items I have are: UL flex harness, black - new in plastic Mizuno Japan harness, black - new in plastic Mizuno harness, black with gold roadrunner gold logo on back strap facing outward - new, but not in plastic TW tan pads - new in plastic TW black pads - new in plastic plate brushes, wood - new in plastic Wilson black & tan leather MLB pads - new, no plastic I'm currently sitting on a new Adams HDXV and a new Wilson Pro Gold II (non memory foam model). I have an extra pair of Gr8-Call leg guards 16" I can let go. Etc. I'm sure there's more so just let me know what you want if you want to trade. Thanks in advance!
  14. I've been feeling left out, here are my main gamers for this year. 1. Nike with Belgard's (black & grey microfiber) with Mizuno harness 2. Adidas chopped with Belgard's (black & grey microfiber) and Mizuno harness and SG shovel throat guard 3. Adidas with Belgard's (navy for HS) and Belgard harness 4. Adidas with AS grey pads and Adidas harness and SG shovel throat guard 5. old Belgard frame that is surprisingly light for vinyl dipped... I'm thinking of sending a couple of these off to Tony for a strip & new coat
  15. Great transaction with @panda76. Bought Nike mask, Belgard pads, Mizuno harnesses - and he threw in some extras even! Quick shipment and tracking provided prompt too. A+
  16. Yes, someone else posted it as "Team Wendy mask" I believe. It's a Honig's K4, hollow steel, frame with Team Wendy pads of course. I'm not sure why they're calling it the old +POS Zro-G (as in zero gravity) - it's odd for that naming convention to be used here. It appears that Honig's has deeply discounted these frames recently (from $9.99-19.99), making me think that they're moving on from this frame so I'm guessing other retailers are picking them up cheap and slapping pads in them for an easier sale. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.
  17. FWIW, Team Wendy is not the best thing out there today. There are thinner and better foam laminates to use as a sandwich (layers) that will breathe better, offer the same or better protection, be lighter weight - and be as thin or possibly thinner than TW. I like the TW's - but if you've got one, then you know they're heavy and hot. Some say they feel the impacts more in theirs too, not hurt but feel. While I know that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - sometimes we need to reinvent the wheel (cover) to do what's best. It's not always the rarest or most expensive item that's the best out there for us. It that were always true, then the Belgard series would be the best at everything. I love their pads and their quality work - but I'm not sure their $600-900 CPs are THAT much better than anything else that we have... but even if that were true, then it's because their gear is hand-made by Japanese craftsmen. You can't get that price down to affordable for the masses when doing hand-made, so we'll never see that quality from a big company. If we're trying to make a custom CP pad that all can afford and still offer well-made, lightweight, low profile, breathable with great protection - then I'm all for using the new modern foams over the heavier Zorbium. IMHO, it's time to go outside of the box that we're used to seeing and come up with something new and better. Redesign the entire thing for a better fit and function. Just my two cents.
  18. I think Douglas will do custom color pad jackets too, but the plate looked too far down to be a Douglas and the neck roll looks different.
  19. Oops, where did I get Australia from? There's a lot of similarities though! Strange accent, it's very hot, they have lots of snakes... even have some nice beaches in both places!
  20. Good question. I can't recognize it, but it looks lacking in the clavicle protection area. The plastic looks low down off the clavicle in the picture.
  21. Interesting point. It appears Honig’s has discounted their frames now too. They’re $9.99-19.99 now for that exact frame. You can get a black mask frame, Honig’s harness, black TW pads and a mask bag for $89.99 plus shipping of course. A navy or silver one would be $10 cheaper! And yes, it is far easier to sell complete mask’s versus frames. I’m speaking from experience on that one.
  22. Yeah, noticed that. Whole thing is odd. I thought TW was done, so they put out a mask? Something is off here. Too many oddities in one place.
  23. That’s a Honig’s frame… interesting.
  24. I had a Wilson Gold pad jacket made by Douglas that would beg to differ. Mr Fox has it now, but I had a Douglas pad jacket that was made by Douglas for a Wilson Gold. But yes, their products are great quality and last well... but $100 for a pad jacket is more than some complete CP's out there today! But with F3, Wilson and All Star all over $220 now, Douglas is actually becoming more affordable.
  25. Unfortunately, Douglas won't do anything but their own stuff anymore. They'll retrofit one of their own with new padding, velcro, etc. for a steep fee. A new pad, for example, is over $100.
