Joe Maddon was just ejected after his F1 threw to F3 as he was retreating back to the back (he was playing in for the bunt) and a balk was called. Will update with video when it's up.

yep. I believe this topic was just discussed on another thread only in that case it was a walk. If there is R1 or R1/R2 or loaded the runner can go to first since every runner would advance. But since R2 would not advance on the HBP it's a tough luck ball for the batter.

The last angle shows that Bryant beat the pitcher to the bag (just stepped off to the side to avoid stepping on him) I'm not too familiar with this type of play.

I think it would have hit the top of the wall and bounced over. Tough to overturn that when the call on the field is HR.
