As an up and coming stand up goaltender, I've decided to brag about record my statistics here for all of you to laugh at look at. (Since this most likely will be a "funny story" as well as off topic.

1/16/16

First half: Black team. Five shots. Two saves.

Second half: White team. Nine shots. Six saves. :Cool2:

Notes: Very sore. Can not walk without considerable pain. First game I've played since I was ten years old. Only fell backwards twice. Got stick stuck in net once.

Hey Belfour, I'd like to see some save percentage comparisons to the sit-down goaltenders

They're called butterfly goalies...my my, I expect more out of a former hockey player, although, I suppose when you played hockey, Patrick Roy had not yet risen to fame and the goalies still played with magazines taped to their shins.

You call them butterfly goalie...we called them floppers. They can't skate, so they flop to their knees whenever someone is shooting. Unless they catch/hold the shot, they are almost always out of position for a rebound (laying on the ice). A skater that can lift a shot can score regularly on a flopper. The "sit-down" description was a joke, as opposed to your "stand-up" (the only way to do it) description. Patty Roy's success had more to do with the team he was on (Montreal Canadians) than his flopping-style. And for the record, the Canadian (like the Yankee) suck.

First half:  White team. Five shots. Three saves. (Including a kick save.)

Second half: Black team. Five shots. One save.

Notes: Played a Fairbanks Nanooks Alumni team that was in town that somehow didn't get the memo about no full slapshots. My neckguard is the seventh level of hell.

Absent are any team scores...or is Alaska hockey like youth soccer where they don't keep score.
Remember, there is no "I" in the word team.

No scoreboard in pick up league. My godfather tracks my stats for me. Because he's not a jerk. Unlike another washed out hotshot skater I know.

By golly, you're correct. It's right there in the A-hole.

I'm confused...Soccer or Hockey?

First half, Second half = Soccer; First Period, Second Period, Third Period, and stick = Hockey.

If it's the latter...good for you!!!  Hockey is a great game.  But, I'd work on that .571 Save Percentage!

Ice hockey BUT my league had an hour of ice time so we'd just drop the puck and play until somebody puked or the rink staff kicked us off and thirty minutes in myself and the other tendy would switch creases.
