Outstanding call.....not really sure why that's not reviewable though. This should be and 7.13 shouldn't be.

it's only review-able in the outfield (fair / foul)

Even if it was reviewed, that thing kisses chalk... It's fair! Banister is just being a tool. Guccione unspooled a lot of rope to keep him in the game; I bet Banister was trying to head over there to point out the ball mark in the dirt. In any case, you've got a manager stepping off the dock and hanging himself.

... In the second inning no less! Yeah, great way to manage and inspire your team there, skip. It ain't like you're sticking up for one of your batters or pitchers on today's strike zone, or a out/safe at a base.

I think you mean when fair/foul is determined after the ball passes the base umpire. IIRC a batted ball that lands beyond the base but in front of the umpire is not reviewable.

They don't have to go to the outfield to conduct the review. ;)

I wonder if Banister was bitching because when Guccione made the call, it almost looked like both hands were coming up as if to signal foul, and he then pointed fair.  I think he was just getting out of the way, but his arms coming up looked a little odd.  Either way, he got it right and that's all that matters.

That angle shown needs to be in every ballpark. Hell, put it on every sideline in the NFL too. I've seen a lot of bounding balls like this that are very hard to tell with an off angle. (I presume that's the reason they're not reviewable as of now)
