OK. I'm confused. Unless an umpire put his hands up when it got lodged  and that's what made R2 slow down? Replay didn't give us a shot of any umpires.

yunel escobar is... not the smartest player. He just thought it was lodged and I guess decided to jog? His decision really makes no sense because he could have been "safe" at third if he hustled, and obviously still put back to second after review

Similar thing happened early this season where I believe Cespedes played a lodged ball assuming it was dead and a double. Runners kept advancing and the play stood.
