What appears to be a great call at the plate gets reversed on what appears to not be anything conclusive ..... very different than what we've seen all year ...... most ....IF NOT ALL of these type of plays do not/have not been reversed this season....

This is the video they post for "conclusive angle" ..... :HS

AND NO ...

this has NOTHING to do with the fact that I live in the Detroit area, so please, don't .... they wound up winning regardless, and either way the Tigers are pathetic this year ..

His foot does kinda move but that could just as easily - perhaps even more likely - be from hitting the ground, not the glove. Seems like guessing to me...that has no business being overturned.

ALL TRUE!  Just how I saw it, and how I'm thinking about it ........ this type of play has NOT been overturned all season ....

If there are "discussions" between on-field and overturning review umpire, MLBUs keep it in the locker room, but I'd like to be a fly on the wall when "iffy" overturns discussions occur.

not that it's clear in the vid, however, Perez certain had the glove in a spot that could have nicked the foot, I think I can see the glove move just enough to convince me that a tag was made.

Not that I disagree necessarily with your logic , ....it just goes against everything that's been called this year on review.  Plus, ...Perez's mitt moves from motion and his hand hitting the ground ... IMHO

I see your point, but when you look at overturned calls like that Pujols-into-second one (where he lifts about 1/8 of an inch off the bag), this one is much different in that the runner's foot was considerably farther from the plate and, honestly, PU had plenty of information to make the out call, but just judged it differently.  I could see myself in that position preferring to bang the out based on the proximity of the mitt to the foot.  In real time, with just one look, I'd be more confident making an out call than I would calling him safe.
