Anyone here use these?

I don't know that I can spend $30 on a pair of socks!

I've found that soccer socks are perfect for use underneath shinguards. They're designed to stay up and well ventilated, as well.

I've got a few pairs from Nike, Diadora, and Under Armour. But nothing that cost $30 :-

Since I wear compression pants for every game, I don't spend a lot of time analyzing socks. I have three pair of Power Sox that have lasted me four seasons. I just now need to replace them, so I looked online to see who sold them. I'll be making a trip to Academy Sports. 3 pair for $8.99.

I've always worn the Thor-lo combat boot socks.  Great padding in the toe and heel and the front of the shin.  Up to $20 a pair.  I love them and they don't get hot and always stay up.

These are actually recovery socks.  I suppose that you could wear them during a game but they are meant to be worn after an athletic activity to aid in muscle recovery.  I have a pair from a different manufacturer that I use in basketball season.  Put them on after every game and sleep in them.  They are not a miracle cure but they are definately worth 30 bucks.

If the socks allow you to umpire for more than 4 hours, do you need to call your assignor?

Just make sure that you always practice safe umpiring. Even if both you and your partner have been evaluated, you should always use protection (on the plate).
