Agreed, and I would have called it a catch judging from the video but slo-mo proves it wrong.

Does this mean you favor IR for catch/no catch calls?

Heard but not seen?

 

Once heard a thump-whap on a trap/catch situation (from 3B coaching box). Couldn't see a bounce. Ump called it a catch. I just said "sounded like a trap" but let it go because it didn't look like a trap.

 

Twas a strange situation. U3 was behind the play even though it was F7 charging in that made the play.

 

Twas a strange (to us) park.  Dirt infields. No base tiedowns. "Wing-it" placement of 2B (1B and 3B had markers). Multiple pitching rubbers. No mounds. Dusty as dusty can get. Didn't go back.
