The guy who paid $300 on Ebay probually thought it was a Douglas WV. Anyway, you could have called Douglas last week and they would have sold you a vest for $99.00.........These are not rare.....I bought one 3 yrs ago and I didnt like the way it fit. It is a nice vest, but Jim makes it sound like it is a Riddell Power or something. Be aware that they fit kinda tight around the neck. More power to him if he can get guys to pay 2 bills for that vest.

I've always wanted to try out this vest after hearing many umps who praise the Douglas vest. Jim is actually selling this CP for $125 after the coupon code. Looking forward to trying this CP out!:)

Picked up a 13.... 125.00 is a nice deal....

I was under the impression that they had run out of 13s already or I might have bought one before.

Anyway... still a good deal... not as nice as 99.00... lol...but not bad.

I have a Douglas, and it's okay.

I'm saving my pennies for the new All Star. From what little I've seen of it, it's gonna be cool. A lot of "lessons learned" are going into it, plus some new stuff.

Again, the Douglas is a quality rig, will protect well, and last a good long time. Mine's several years old, and is ready for many more.

i bought the 15" douglas last may . when it was direct from douglas . i love mine , it is at least equal to WV . and is longer for the the taller man , as well . btw has anyone noticed that ump-attire , has the NEW all-star cp . is this what all the talk has been about ?? or is there a hard shell still to come ? the new soft shell is only 13" length . and is $ 139.99 . i think a douglas is the better cp .

Yep I scooped up a second 13" to use as a back up! Great deal for those looking for a low profile protector.

once you wear it a few times, it will not be your back up.. Promise.. I sold my WEST vest gold on here to a guy..

Oh jeeez.....that's been out for quite some time now,...over a year? However, as far as CPs go, that is the latest release from All-Star.

Glad to see Jim is carrying All-Star stuff though!

When I bought mine in August, I was told that they only had parts for 15s left. I wanted the 15 anyway, so it worked out for me.

Also, the $99 was before tax and shipping. It was $120 total shipped to CA for me.

Yes Jim picked up the remaining stock of 13's leving douglas with 15's to sell to the public.

This is still a great deal for a great CP. It is only a $13 diffrence in price. My new douglas was $133 shipped (USPS)

I grabbed up one of the 13s when Thunderheads spurred us all to call Douglas and order them. I haven't needed my 13 yet, because I'm still using the trusty, old 12-inch that got me hooked on the Douglas in the first place. It's cool having it there to ensure I'll always have a Douglas. If Wilson stops making the Gold, I'll grab up one of those for insurance, too.

Two great things happened to me this week. SF finally won another WS. Been a lifelong Giants fan going back to "the shot heard round the world" in 51. and I finally got my Douglas CP. "YAHOO BABY"
