Good thing there were more than 2 coaches there. My JV games it's just me, a geometry teacher and a retired postal worker. The three of us aren't breaking anything up.

im with welpe..............game over since eveyone is ejected.......

and once a few years ago I attempted to break up a fight between 2 assistant coaches....not a good move....dont do it....

Not sure if you guys in Canada, NY, FL get these kind of parents, but they are pretty common out here in CA. This mom shows up to about every one out of four of my games or so and lets everyone know about it.

My claim to fame was getting pulled off of working a state championship VFW game b/c I had to eject a head coach, assistant coach, and the catcher in an exhibition tournament about a month prior. A fan from the same team challenged me to a fight in the parking lot and I was the one who got pulled off of the game.

Seems to me I see more of these moms and dads in 14U travel and lower. They seem to calm down by the time we're on the high school field. They still bark, of course, but for some reason they just seem more under control...dare I say...more civil? Obviously this women hasn't got the memo yet. :shakehead:

Not the same group...same M.O., though.

Yeah, it got under my skin for a while b/c the tournament staff was nowhere to be found and it was the same tournament staff in charge of the state tournament. The assigner took the bait and removed me from the game.

I'm over it and I no longer work that tournament (by choice) until they enact some sportsmanship guidelines. These teams hire warm bodies all year and they finally get some actual umpires out there and then take it out on us for doing what their warm bodies refused to do all season.

There are a bunch of other videos from this brawl. I have to agree that this game is done since EVERYONE from the yellow team is gone and most of the kids from the blue team are as well for leaving their positions to take part in a fight. Cant play if you dont have players.

She must have a sister cause she was at my game on Wednesday. She has a brother too. He at every other game I do. He likes to say, "Horrible, just horrible." :smachhead:

These types are at every game and it seems to me to be worse this year. The norms of decent social behavior are not evident anymore at sporting events.

The team consisted of kids from all over the US, so the parents didn't really know each other or the coach. First game and PU balls a close pitch. Most of the parents on our team start to piss and moan at PU. Craig calls time and walks over to the fence and tells the parents he will not allow any parent barking at the umpires. If there is an issue with the umpire, he will calmly deal with it, not the parents. Also had a F2 stick a close pitch that PU balled. F2 continued to hold the ball where he caught it. Grebek lit him up, yelling at him to throw the ball back to the pitcher and quit holding it. After the inning was over, he had a very animated conversation with F2 about showing up the umpire.

He teaches this game correctly and I happily drive an hour once or twice a week so my son can be exposed to his style of baseball.

I'm ashamed that I only included obese pig moms in that statement. It applies to every member of the female gender,

Come on Kevin, being from So Cal like me...we do get our share of first round draft pick moms in the stands...and occasionally they keep their pie hole shut!

They can say whatever they want; I'm merely speaking to a woman---any woman---coming out on the field. I know there are women trainers, so, obviously they are welcome, but some mom---any mom---is an intolerable breach.

I love it when moms comment or coach their sons. It's some of the best baseball humor there is. The next baseball savvy comment I hear a baseball mom make will be the first.

... One time a kid cranked a ball about 400 feet to left, but foul by 30 or so. Some mom--perhaps his--had this to say: "Good idea!"
