Three HS games so far - all three plates. One foul ball off the left clavicle with no issues. It fits great - I especially like the way it wraps around the lower part of my ribs. That's another (minor) drawback to the Douglas. The bottom plate doesn't want to "wrap," even after a season of use. More of a cosmetic issue though.

You should, it took them less than a week to do, and it was very inexpensive. I just got a new Platinum from Welpe, and have also been thinking about sending my Douglas back. But I am going to call mine a Fittske-Douglas.

OC was (is) the supplier for VHSL. They had a setup at all clinic locations in past years. I guess with the online clinics this year they lost alot of business. They always had some good clinic specials but I never bought any protective gear.

This is why I think it is a cross-body slide. The runner takes out the catcher's left foot, and his head/shoulders are to the catcher's right side. The catcher goes over the center (more or less) of the runner. I can't tell for sure, but I did not think the catcher was "up the line." I have him with his right foot at the plate. Not saying I'm right, just what I see.

Illegal cross-body slide? Anybody?

I have heard one person say that the rough texture of the Diamond mask snagged their shirt when they had their mask off and tucked under their arm. I have also heard of them actually damaging a baseball. An umpire friend of mine has one and I like it alot. I almost ordered one for myself until I read/saw the reviews on the All Star. I'm pretty sure SWMBO is getting me one for my birthday on Tuesday!

My son keeps golf balls in the freezer and rolls the soles/heels of his feet on them when his PF flares up. We had a mechanic at work who suffered with it and went to the doctor, who told him to do the same thing.

You might have a (very weak) argument for OBS in FED, but I don't think I would have even called it there. Definitely not with the big boys, however. Someone may be able to provide you with the exact interpretation from MLBUM or one of the other sources. Shame on Holliday - dropped fly ball AND picked off third!
