so, my company just got purchased and the new company is based out of Tulsa, OK. I don't know if they will offer me a job there, but there is a good chance. Anyone know the assigned, organizations, etc in the area? Or just anything about Tulsa in general? Thanks!

I got invited to their facebook group too. Our local college group doesn't require attendance at an NCAA meeting either for the lower level guys. Their justification is the cost is unreasonable for guys calling D3, JUCO, etc.

The rule is different in FED? It does not matter if the interference is intentional if the runner is in contact with the base? Can't find the exact wording in the rulebook

It was a great clinic this year. Even better than last yr. The weather ended up being perfect. And the group of guys we had this year was really great For the classroom piece they got the chief instructor for Wendelstedt to cover the 2 man coverage and rules portion which was awesome. He was also on the field for our drills and such. Spent Friday morning running footwork and mechanics drills, and then ran more drills while a college team scrimmaged and did some fungo. Had 3-4 different chances for cage work where different instructors evaluated our plate stances and mechanics and made tweaks and suggestions. We all got to call about 5 inning each on saturday and sunday of live baseball while we got real time correction and evaluation from instructors. They even took video which we will get to watch and critique our work. Worth every penny and so glad I decided to go back. I picked up a lot of little things to work on to help push me to the next level and help break some bad habits. Go, you won't regret it. you will make some good new friends and meet some great instructors who are always willing to help us more inexperienced umps.

Agreed. I sport a WV Platinum. Love it and trust it. Never been hurt since wearing it "knock on wood". Wear it high like your supposed to and it will treat you right.

This was my biggest takeaway from the clinic last year. Jason and his crew moved me further into the slot and adjusted my heel-toe. Made a huge difference in my plate work. I'm hoping to continue to refine it this year. These are great pictures Jason. Good find.

Is the Smitty as good as the Majestic? I have never tried Smitty stuff

I can take a look at it Jason. I'm wondering if XXL is gonna be too big then as well. Don't want to look any bigger than I already am. The goal is to keep going the other way.

Gents: I have been looking all over for a black Majestic Coolbase jacket but cannot find one in XL or bigger. I am looking to try and pick one up. Does anyone have one that is in good shape they may be willing to part with? Or knows where I can find one new? Thanks.

I tried it on at a meeting where they had a booth set up. Didn't like it nearly as much as the majestics. The sleeves run short and just didn't fit well overall. Still trying to find a black majestic in XL. no one seems to have it. Would be nice for fall ball here, and early spring ball.

Hey JP. I am going as well. Went last year and learned a bunch. I am a much better umpire this past season because of it. And you will make friends and contacts with guys like Jason who are great mentors and resources long after the clinic is over. I work for Rusty as well doing summer ball. Don't think we have worked together yet though.

I am a convert for sure.
