More electronic strike zone discussion

I thought the same thing. -
That was a crazy game. We absolutely deserved to lose and somehow still won.
-
Go Rangers. That is all.
-
They don't get much easier to call than that. Great video.
-
Hehe. I'm in there too in the background. Loved every second of this camp both times I've been. Worth every penny guys.

I disagree. I don't want my shirts patched or embroidered. I don't want to own different shirts for every different organization I call for. Adds to the cost of umpiring tremendously. Most associations already have their own hats.

Best replies you ever gave a coach/player/fan?
GreyhoundAggie replied to GoodCallBlue!'s topic in Free For All
I have seen this before and called a runner safe. They had him picked and the 1st basement swiped right over the top, never touched him. Thats like calling a runner out just cause "the ball beat him". I understand the expected call, but I call what I see. That's all any of us can do. But on top of that telling the coach you didnt have a tag but he is out, is pretty crazy. I'm shocked you didn't have to eject him after that. -

So you called an out with no tag? Explain this to me. -
My job doesn't let me off like I'd like, but its part of the business. I am a petroleum engineer. So it can be difficult to just get the time off for HS and such like I need. It's just taking me longer to work my way up since my availability is more limited.

Warren, I had a pair of those. They were ok. But they do not have enough padding. I took a fastball bounced in the dirt and it hit me square in the pad. Needless to say I felt it. Bruised my thru the shinguard. They are just not enough for HS and up ball IMO. They are extremely light as advertised, but I am not willing to sacrifice the protection.

single. I love my unequal shins

Yeah, I heard about this prank the first time i ever had the rotation. Maybe he should have waited til the kid scored so he could see some of the plate still. Talk about blowing up a situation.
-
I concur. Clean play all the way. In every ruleset ive ever called.
-
They gave you the plate? Who'd you bribe in the Chapter JP? Congrats man.

I have the patent. Have used it from day 1. I like the look and the feel with it being thicker and wider.

Another Infield Fly Rule Called on a Ball in the Outfield
GreyhoundAggie replied to heyoh's topic in Professional
"Gotta be out, its a force play" after the review. Oh good lord announcers -
What a brutal situation. I feel for you. That's like when you tell a lie and you get caught, but you just keep lying and dig yourself deeper. You did the right thing, its not your call to overturn.

Was the players name Pedro Cerrano?

Thought the same thing on replay. Read the description in the article. Then watched the replay. Just airmails the throw. "Not a quality throw" Absolutely in FED. No quality throw needed.

100% illegal in high school, and in NCAA
