Plate was not blocked. Runner deviated from his path away from the plate and into the catcher. There was no slide, just body-to-body collision. Runner, if he wanted to deviate his path, could have gone to his right and made an attempt to touch the plate. I don't think the HPU should have waited to see if the ball was held.

Yes. And it's at that point (the move to 3B) that he's disengaged and he's now an infielder, which negates the balk violations.

Got it. That's the same as I have. I thought you were referring to the bottom photo (eyes closed). That appears to be a standard TG strapped to the front of the bucket.

Doesn't that leave a gap between the TG and your neck when you're in the crouch? The reason I ask is that I use the TG that was designed for the Shock, and it hangs directly below and swings freely in order to allow it to catch on my CP if a ball should come into contact with it.

I think that #1 was also personal, albeit indirectly. This coach has just openly questioned my integrity in front of other coach(es) while signing off scorebooks? Not sure I'd let that slide so easily.

Ken, you put the regular TG on the outside of the Shock helmet?
